We approach each new assignment with our client’s best interests always top-of-mind, knowing that the reason United Consulting is in business is to solve their pressing problems, to mitigate project risk and uncertainty, and to get their projects out of the ground on time and on budget. Together since our founding over 30 years ago, United Consulting’s executive leadership has instilled this client-first mindset in our technical leaders who themselves average 20 years of service with the firm. Our leaders have baked this philosophy into our work culture, supported by quality control procedures that guide our more than 140 professional staff.

We maintain three levels of accountability and oversight on every project to assure successful delivery: task managers who focus on project execution including testing and fieldwork; project managers who lead our engineers, inspectors, and technicians assigned to their projects, carefully reviewing their work; and whose work is in-turn evaluated by the project Principal-In-Charge, whose aim is for flawless outcomes, and who serves as clients’ main point of contact.

OUR PEOPLE

United Consulting is comprised of a diverse team of experts. Our staff includes professional engineers and geologists, environmental engineers, scientists and technicians; industrial hygienists and hazardous materials inspectors; GDOT Certified Roadway Testing Technicians (RTT), Certified Field Concrete Technicians (FCT), Quality Control Technicians, and ICC and IBC Inspectors; NICET certified personnel and dozens of ACI certified professionals; NPDES inspectors, reviewers, design professionals, erosion and sediment control experts, and certified professionals in stormwater control. These and other experts are ably supported by outstanding business staff who make sure their technical colleagues have the technology, tools, and professional support they need to focus on superior project delivery, customer service, and personal professional growth.

We service hundreds of clients across the United States from our headquarters in Norcross, Georgia with additional offices located in Leeds, Alabama; Houston, Texas; and San Diego, California. We are professionally licensed and registered in 33 states.

United Consulting’s 60,000 square foot headquarters building in Norcross includes our 10,000 square foot American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) certified Geotechnical and Materials Testing Laboratory. The facility meets or exceeds appropriate industry-specific ASTM requirements, and has been a validated U.S. Army Corp of Engineers laboratory since 2010. Our laboratory staff is certified as required by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET).
